The hotel was in the historic part of Tampa's city. We felt very safe walking in the neighborhood.
We encountered 2 problems with our reservation that truly were related to bookit.com. The first was that the hotel was listed as 1 mile from the airport when it really was in downtown Tampa. This cost us our round trip transfer fee because it was less to just go to the pier than it would have to go back to the airport where we were to transfer from. The second was that the hotel was listed as providing a shuttle to and from the airport. This was not true. No shuttle was provided. The taxi ride cost $25:00. We were not happy at all. The manager blamed this on inaccurate info on the website bookit.com

That it is funky, having a frig, kitchen stuff. Quiet neighborhood with good places to eat nearby. I like the fact it was not a glitzy downtown hotel.
Need to emphasize that hotel is not ada accessible. No elevator and stairs are obligatory. It would be nice to have a nightstand at bedside, something to put book, glasses, alarm etc on. Light over desk did not work otherwise, totally fine. thanks.

This small boutique hotel was very close to the Tampa Times Forum, but not right downtown. Very unique and kind of quirky. Quiet side street in the historic Hyde Park district.
The room was quite small, but we expected that. Parking is also a bit tight. Glad we were driving a Miata! We got in around 12:30 am and there was only one space left.

I really enjoyed the room with a jacuzzi. Central heating, TV set, and a microwave oven turned out to be good. the location was central, incredible to the aquarium. Moreover, it was next to the beautiful beaches found in St Petersburg, the cruise port, the International Airport, Tampa Convention Center, as well as other restaurants.

Cozy room, beautiful bathroom, smart TV for music and movies. Short stay, but would've loved to extend. Perfect location, walking distance to grocery store for room snacks. Updated bathrooms, like higher-end hotels. Nearby diners and main street, large supermarket a minute away. Convenient for cheap Uber rides downtown. Quiet, yet convenient Soho district location. Plenty of dining options and funky shops nearby. Homey and clean hotel, well-lit and secure entrance. Engaging and efficient check-in. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good location for walking to area restaurants. Very quiet at the hotel.

Price, location, off-street parking at no extra fee, quiet and peaceful, within walking distance of really good restaurants. It's got the bare- bone basics at a reasonable price. Good for very short stays and sleeping only.
Huge bed in a room too small for it to fit comfortably, only one very small wooden fold-up chair in which to sit - no comfortable chair of any kind to sit in, room too cramped for comfort, no common lounge area or sitting space on the premises.

The place was very clean
I did not feel safe, since I am not familiar with Tampa and the buildings across the street were not well kept and had a fair amount of debris in the front. I was also assigned a first floor and although I indicated to them when I called that I was traveling with my teenage daughter and needed a higher floor. The young blond manager?? Was not truthful and very condescending. I asked for a refund and although Booked.net was okay with it, he kept hiding behind the truth and blaming Booked.net denying my request. He made it for a very unpleasant experience for me and my daughter, for not purpose other than to be difficult. In the end, I called American Express and they took care of it. I later received a notice indicating that they were processing a refund. It would have made more sense if he would have done the right thing to begin with instead of playing games with the emotions of his guests. Awful customer service experience.
